Jack Draper: The Golden Boy of British Tennis

Serving up Jack Draper

At just 22 years old, Jack Draper has become the new British No. 1 in tennis. With his 138mph serve and razor-sharp good looks, Draper is quickly becoming one of the most exciting players in the world. In the August issue of Deputy Features, we take a closer look at the rising star of British tennis.

A Rising Star

Draper's rise to the top has been meteoric. In 2018, he became the runner-up at Wimbledon juniors at just 16 years old. Since then, he has competed in a number of Future and Challenger tournaments, and has won two ATP Challenger titles.

A Close Bond

In the world of tennis, rivalries are common. But Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper stand out for their unbreakable bond. Both British tennis stars, Raducanu and Draper have supported each other throughout their careers. They have even practiced together on several occasions.

Family Support

Draper's family has played a major role in his success. His father, Roger, is a former Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) executive. Draper's mother, Nicky, is a former professional tennis player. His sister, Beth, is also a talented tennis player.

The Future

Draper is now hoping to stay injury-free at Wimbledon before preparing for the US Open. With his talent and determination, there is no doubt that he has a bright future ahead of him.
