Q1 Zhou a surprise leader and Russell a shock elimination

Lewis Hamilton beat Max Verstappen in Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying to take his first pole position since the penultimate race of the 2021
Zhou Guanyu was a surprise leader of Q1, beating teammate Valtteri Bottas by three tenths of a second. George Russell was also eliminated in Q1, after failing to get a clean lap in.
Hamilton took provisional pole on his first run in Q3, but Verstappen came within half a tenth of the Briton's time on his final lap.
Hamilton then responded with a stunning lap of 1:18.394 to take pole by 0.075s from Verstappen.
