Cast Recounts Emotional Tribute in Final Film
"It Felt Like He Was There with Us on Set"
The upcoming Disney Channel film "Descendants 3" holds a special significance as it was the final project for late actor Cameron Boyce, who passed away in July 2019. In the movie, Boyce reprises his role as Carlos, one of the Isle of the Lost's Villain Kids, and his castmates reveal that a particular scene pays a heartfelt tribute to his character.
"The idea that we were attributing that to Carlos' character felt 100% real and authentic," said Dove Cameron, who plays Mal. "Filming the scene was understandably very emotional for everyone involved."
The cast members, including Booboo Stewart (Jay) and Sofia Carson (Evie), shared their memories of working with Boyce and the impact he had on the set. "He brought such joy and energy to the project, and he will be deeply missed," said Stewart.
