Dynamax Metagross Arrives in Pokémon GO Before Mega Metagross
Exclusive Pokémon GO Dynamax Event Coming Soon
The Mythical Pokémon Deoxys has returned to Pokémon GO, and it's brought a new friend with it: Dynamax Metagross! This colossal Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon will be available to catch in Dynamax Raids for a limited time. In addition, a special Dynamax Metagross event will be held on January 18, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. During this event, Dynamax Metagross will appear more frequently in Dynamax Raids, and players will have a chance to catch a Shiny Dynamax Metagross.
How to Catch Dynamax Metagross
To catch Dynamax Metagross, you'll need to first defeat it in a Dynamax Raid. Dynamax Raids are special battles that can be participated in by up to 20 players. To join a Dynamax Raid, simply approach a Gym that is currently hosting a raid and interact with the purple pillar of light outside. Once the raid has begun, you'll have a limited amount of time to defeat the Dynamax Pokémon. If you're successful, you'll have a chance to catch it.
Tips for Defeating Dynamax Metagross
- Use Pokémon that are strong against Steel- and Psychic-type Pokémon, such as Fire-, Ground-, and Dark-type Pokémon.
- Be careful of Dynamax Metagross's powerful attacks, such as Meteor Mash and Psychic.
- Don't forget to use your own Dynamax Pokémon to level the playing field.
Mega Metagross Coming Soon
In addition to Dynamax Metagross, Mega Metagross is also coming to Pokémon GO soon. Mega Metagross is the Mega Evolution of Metagross, and it is even more powerful than its base form. Mega Metagross will be available to catch in Mega Raids starting on January 22, 2023. So be sure to mark your calendars and get ready for the arrival of these two colossal Pokémon!
